The Moth

In partnership with The Moth™, Believe enlisted three very different people with hemophilia to talk about their lives on stage at National Hemophilia Foundation’s B.D.C., the world’s largest bleeding disorders conference: Ivan, a 33-year-old Los Angeles dad and former gang member; Tyshawn, a 27-year-old from Brooklyn; and Vanessa, a 40-year-old mom who’s had trouble convincing people a girl-now-woman can have hemophilia. The evening event drew a large, engaged crowd and led to a powerful podcast series focused on the untold stories of living with a bleeding disorders, Journeys.
